This past weekend, we opened our doors to the community for a special open house event at Solarium Wellness Collective. The air was brisk, typical of a Minnesota winter, but that didn’t deter the enthusiastic crowd that bundled up in their warm coats and gloves to join us.
At Solarium Wellness Collective, we are a group of independent service providers in the health and beauty world dedicated to creating a serene space for self-care. Our vision is to cultivate an environment where wellness and beauty converge, and this open house event was a beautiful testament to that mission.
A True Minnesota Welcome
Despite the chilly weather, participants came out in droves, embodying the quintessential Minnesota spirit. The chilly snap was no match for the warmth of community camaraderie and shared interests in self-care and local artistry. I was genuinely touched by the turnout and the kindness showed by everyone who attended.
For many, this was not just about learning about our spa services; it was also an opportunity to connect with each other, discover unique talents in our local area, and celebrate the beauty of community in Golden Valley.

One of the highlights of our open house was the array of brilliant local artisans showcasing their crafts. We had booths featuring pressed flowers, intricate macramé, stunning earrings, beautiful handmade greeting cards, delicate paper crafts, illuminated light boxes, and even custom furniture upholstery!
Each vendor brought their unique creations, making this event feel like a mini street fair right in our spa's cozy ambiance. It was heartwarming to see guests taking home not just self-care services but also these charming handcrafted items. A plant sale benefit also added an eco-friendly twist, promoting the enjoyment of nature in our homes.
Delicious Local Treats
Our local restaurants joined in to support the event, turning our open house into a culinary delight. Centro provided delightful bites, Frois Gourmet Popsicles offered refreshing sweet treats, and the highlight for me was Chez Monet Catering’s rice bowl—a mouthwatering dish that left me craving more.
Supporting local businesses is a core value at Solarium Wellness Collective, and having our community's culinary stars involved was the perfect way to keep our guests nourished and satisfied while they mingled and explored.
Melodies and Magic
Adding to the inviting atmosphere, we had live music from the talented Chris Campo, who filled the air with enchanting melodies. The calming tunes served as the perfect background to our event, enhancing our spa environment and keeping spirits high.
And let’s not forget the joyful laughter and happy shouts from the children in attendance who were busy exploring the toy station. The laughter and excitement of kids always remind us how much fun self-care can be, and we worked hard to ensure every age had something memorable to take away.

As I wandered around the event, I had the pleasure of meeting many new people—some of whom were surprised to discover our wellness spa for the first time. I love hearing folks describe Solarium as a “hidden gem” in Golden Valley; it made my heart swell with pride.
Every interaction was golden, and I truly cherished listening to people share their experiences and the things they value about our community. It’s these connections that remind me of why we do what we do. Bringing people together in a warm and inviting space while focusing on self-care is a meaningful endeavor, and your support makes it all possible.
